    First time traveling with 13 yr old daughter for 3 days Please recommend hotel, parks to visit, attractions to see, how to maximize my time at the parks.I’d like to spend 2 days in the parks and Swim and relax at the hotel on the third day. No water park

    Sarah,

    Oh my goodness, what a fun time you will have!

    Let's go through this, step by step;
    • Parks: Which should you visit? All of them, of course, if you have a Park Hopper! But if you can only visit 2 parks on your two park days, I would say that you definitely go to the Magic Kingdom. That is always a Must Do! But what for the second park? I would typically say with a teen you should go to Epcot. The evening there can be particularly amazing, as you can try a great dinner venue at any of the World Showcase pavilions. I would only suggest instead going to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Disney's Hollywood Studios if you have an avid animal or Star Wars enthusiast, respectively.
    • Resorts: I would recommend that you stay at any of the following resorts, by class. I selected them for having great pools, as well as great access to parks. I like Disney's Beach Club Resort (deluxe) for the incredible pool and walking distance into Epcot. I would also recommend Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort (moderate) and Disney's Pop Century Resort (value) for their pools and Disney Skyliner links to both Epcot, the Disney BoardWalk, and Hollywood Studios.
    • Attractions: In the Magic Kingdom there are so many things to do, but our favorites include the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and "it's a small world". At Epcot I would spend time exploring the national pavilions of the World Showcase, and go for a ride on Test Track and Soarin' Around the World
    In the case of all three resorts, the ability to get to the BoardWalk (after a brief walk from the Beach Club or a Skyliner ride and walk from the other two) gives you a great evening destination on your swim day without a ton of transportation woes. Write me back directly if you have any follow up questions. As the parent of a 12- and a 14-year old, I am right in the same space as you.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
