It's my first time staying in CBR (couldn't resist the pirate rooms). I've heard it's very large and my ? is how long does it typically take to get from the buildings to the main house? Are there bus stops near all the buildings to get to the parks easily?

    Ahoy there Paula,

I know how you feel, I was so excited to get a recent sneak peek at the pirate rooms at CBR. I had to rush home and book a trip just to stay in one of them. They are so cool and such attention to fun details from the pirate beds down to the "wooden" carpet.

Caribbean Beach Resort is a very large property made up of six "islands" spread out around Barefoot Bay and the Customs House. The pirate rooms are located in Trinidad South which is one of the further islands from the main building. Each islands does have its own bus stop so you will find your walk minimal to arrive at a stop for a Disney bus. Since the property is so large, you will also find buses that run internally within the resort that you can use to move around the resort and back to the main house. You can walk around the property but it could be a long walk depending on where you are headed and how many tired kids you are dragging. The resort itself is located very close to the Epcot and Hollywood Studios parks so you will find the ride from CBR to most of the parks is generally short.

Be sure to save some time to check out the main pool at Old Port Royale. This resort just recently finished a remodeling of its main pool area and it turned out beautifully. There is a pirate ship play area full of slides and squirting water as well as additional slides in the main pool. I hope you have a wonderful trip and enjoy your pirate adventure!
