First time staying at blt, will I hear the monorail (like living close by the train tracks)? What floor should I pick (higher or lower or ground)? We have a Lakeview room. Thanks!

Hi Diana,

It's great to have you here with us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is my Disney Vacation Club Home Resort and holds a very special place in my heart. Not only are you guaranteed a beautiful view from your Lakeview Villa, but you just cannot beat that short stroll to Magic Kingdom Park.

I have never noticed any disturbance from the whirr of the monorail. In fact, I find the sound relaxing. Even still, it is essentially inaudible at this Disney Vacation Club Resort.

Your Lakeview Villa will be above the fifth floor and you can request a higher floor if you desire. I always encourage my friends and family to request an even-numbered Villa in the "North Tower," which means the Magic Kingdom Park side of the building. These Villas are likely to have a stunning view of both the natural beauty of Bay Lake as well as Cinderella Castle! Of course, Cast Members always aim to please Members and Guests, but requests are not guaranteed.
