first time sailing on Disney dream to bahamas April 25th - are there any gluten free dining options? if not, can we pack our own gluten free snacks?

Welcome aboard, Jennifer! You must be very excited about setting sail on the Disney Dream in just a few short days!

I'm happy to let you know that Disney Cruise Line can accommodate gluten-free requests. If you haven't already, be sure to call Disney Cruise Line so that this allergy is noted on your reservation. Once you board the Dream and head to your first lunch there, speak with one of the Head Servers who will be able to assist your family at this first meal with your gluten-free needs. Most likely after this, you will be asked to pre-order your meals, one meal ahead of time, (for example, breakfast before leaving the restaurant at dinner time), so that the Cast Members can ensure your food is carefully prepared and checked over by a chef, but still served to you in a timely manner.

Disney does ask that guests with food allergies try to dine in the main, full-service restaurants for all meals and that they speak with their Head Server for assistance. Disney Cruise Line's Head Servers are specially trained and will be able to share the most up-to-date food information with guests. Though you are certainly free to try the other fabulous dining options on the Dream, like Cabanas buffet and the quick service spots by the pools, these areas are not always stocked with the special dietary products, and the smaller galleys in those areas can make cross-contamination a concern.

If you'd like to bring some of your own pre-packaged, store-bought snacks onboard, go for it! As long as they are still in their original packaging, you shouldn't have trouble with Customs. It's always nice to have some of your favorite snacks on hand in your stateroom to nibble on while you get dressed for the day or as an afternoon snack.

I hope that information helps, Jennifer! Have a fabulous cruise next week!
