We are going for the first time to Magic Kingdom with my 6 year old girl on Oct 31st. We want her to enjoy the park and also to enjoy the Halloween Party but we understand these are separate tickets. Do you recommend we go to the park or to the party?

Hi Laura and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m excited to know that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort for the first time at the end of this month!

The Magic Kingdom Park is a very special place to visit. I really enjoy special events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party because you get to enjoy entertainment that exclusive to that event. This party is so much fun because you get to trick-or-treat in the parks wearing your Halloween costume! Mickey and his friends are also dressed up and excited to dance the night away with you during the new Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam in Fantasyland with Vampirina!

I think that if you’re planning to purchase regular theme park tickets, you can always visit a different park in the morning and early afternoon and spend the evening at the Halloween party. If not, you can enter the Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 p.m., even though the party begins at 7:00 p.m. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the park!

Laura, remember that October 31st is a very popular night and if you’d like to attend, you should purchase your tickets soon.

I hope you and your family will also take advantage of all the wonderful Autumn events at the Walt Disney World Resort. Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival is my favorite event because I get to sample gourmet foods from several different countries.

Don’t hesitate to come back to see us here or at Disney Parks Moms Panel en Español if you have any more questions. Helping you with the details of your magical trip is our pleasure!
