First time DVC and staying at the Polynesian resort in Aug 2019. What types of supplies are provided in the studios (cleaning, coffee, etc...) What is good to bring for a week stay.

    Aloha Laura!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you and your ‘Ohana have a fantastic vacation coming up! Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is all about location, location, location! The Resort is on the Monorail, so it is a quick ride over to Magic Kingdom Park. Also, the Transportation and Ticket Center is a short walk away, making it easy to access both the Express Monorail and the Monorail to Epcot!

The Deluxe Studios are the ultimate in tropical luxury. The kitchenettes have a toaster, microwave, coffee maker (with filters), as well as paper goods and disposable utensils. There is also a sponge, dish soap, and beverage glasses available. The coffee maker comes with a complimentary coffee service that includes a bag of Joffrey’s Coffee, creamer, and sweetener. Mousekeeping will happily replenish the service or any other supplies. Press the Housekeeping/Engineering button on your in-room phone at any time.

If you prefer something other than Joffrey’s for your coffee or would like additional supplies, I would consider grocery delivery. There are several options for grocery delivery to your Resort, including through Disney Vacation Club, Garden Grocer, Amazon Prime Now, and Instacart. We love Disney’s H2O+ brand of toiletries, so I tend to bring very few products from home when we stay on property. But, I have littles with sensitive skin, so I always pack a small baggie with our detergent pods and dryer sheets.

Finally, if you need something in a pinch, the Resort has a couple of fun shops where you can purchase souvenirs as well as snacks and supplies. Moana Mercantile and BouTiki are in the Great Ceremonial House, which is a quick walk away from the Villas.
