First time to Disney, I have a 2 1/2 yr old, wondering if I need to bring a stroller to the parks? If so what do we do with it during rides and such? We're going to be there in the first week of December '15, what clothing is suggested?

    Hi there Sally!

How exciting to be planning your first Walt Disney World vacation! Based on my own personal experience with my four children, I would definitely recommend bringing a stroller to the parks for your two-year-old. I have always found that my children needed a stroller until age 5 due to the amount of walking required in the parks. At each attraction, Cast Members will be able to direct you to the designated area to park your stroller.

December is my favorite time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort as all of the parks and resorts are beautifully decorated for the holiday season. The weather can sometimes vary in December so I would definitely recommend checking the local forecast in the days leading up to your trip so that you can pack accordingly. That being said, the average high temperature in December is traditionally in the low 70s with an average low temperature in the low 50s. I have visited several times in early December and always packed pants with a short-sleeve top for during the day and brought a jacket or light sweater to wear each morning and evening. I would also suggest packing comfortable walking shoes.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please don't hesitate to visit us again with any additional questions that you may have. We would love to assist you further in the planning of a magical first trip, Sally!

    Happy Travels,
