This will be my first time at Disney World with my 2 year old daughter. What advice do you have for me with a 2 year old? Is Sea World close to Disney World? What is the weather like in Orlando in mid-January?

    Hi Laura,

Less is more when traveling with a two year old in the Walt Disney World Resorts. I wished that when I was traveling with a two year old that I would have listened to this advice.

The Walt Disney World Resorts are larger than you think. I would build in downtime for your daughter based on her schedule. So if she is a late riser, then go to the parks later and leave later. If she is an early riser, then be there at the rope drop and take afternoon breaks. Remember no one will have fun if they are cranky.

Also, many parents want to cram as much activity into a trip as possible, however you will truly live up to EPCOT's friendly nickname-Every Person Comes Out Tired! Concentrate on a few special activities or sections of the parks, and as Darcie on the panel likes to say, "Look for the small things" which will give the biggest memories. This could be riding Small World a dozen times if your princess enjoys it.

As for Sea World, you will need to drive about 15 minutes to this attraction which means a car rental or taxi.

As for the weather, January can be warm or cold. I have been there one year and was sweating and another year freezing. I would check the weather sites online to see what the weather will be like and then you can pack accordingly.

Have a magical trip and remember you can always come back!
