First time to Disney World - I purchased tickets for group but would like other family to have their own tickets/charge associated. Magicbands?

Welcome to planDisney, Lynn! How exciting that you're off on your first trip to Walt Disney World. There's nothing quite like experiencing the magic for the first time, and I'm happy to help with your questions about tickets and charges so everything runs smoothly for your group.

When it comes to tickets, each person in your group will have their own ticket linked to their My Disney Experience account, or you can manage them under your account if you'd prefer. However, tickets and charges are completely separate, so you can't charge purchases to your park ticket. But, if you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can charge purchases to your room account using a MagicBand!

To set up charging privileges for your family members using MagicBands, begin by linking each person's MagicBand to their My Disney Experience account. If you purchased your MagicBands through My Disney Experience, they will already be linked! Add a credit card to your Disney Resort Hotel reservation. You can do this using the app or at the front desk when you check-in. Assign charging privileges to specific guests and decide who is allowed to make purchases with their MagicBand. Finally, you will set a PIN for security so every time someone makes a purchase, they'll need to enter the number for approval.

If you follow the above instructions, each family member can make their own purchases without worrying about using one shared card. If you're staying off-property, you won't be able to charge purchases with a MagicBand, but everyone can still use their own credit or debit cards, Disney Gift Cards, or touchless mobile payments at most locations.

I hope this answers your question, Lynn, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
