Hi! It's our first time to Disney World and we are doing one day in MK. We are trying to choose between 2 breakfast reservations -- 8:05 at Crystal Palace or 9:45 at Be Our Guest. What do you recommend? The park is opening at 9AM on that day. Thanks!

    Hi there, Peggy!

You've got two really awesome dining reservations to choose from. Both have reasons you may want to experience them, but I'll give you my honest opinion.

There is nothing to me more incredible than walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom when there's almost no one else there. You can get some really special photos of your family with the castle behind you without the usual crowds you'd find. That 8:05 dining reservation will give you that, but it's also more.

The Crystal Palace gives you a great opportunity to meet with Pooh and his friends without having to wait in line later in the day. If seeing characters is a priority, it's a good way to check off two boxes - dining and characters. I also think the food at the Crystal Palace is pretty darned good for a buffet, and you'll definitely be able to start your morning without those pesky rumblies in your tumblies.

While my choice would hands down be the Crystal Palace, Be Our Guest Restaurant is one of the most coveted reservations anywhere at Walt Disney World. It's also the only way to see inside this beautifully themed castle. There are no characters at breakfast, and while the food is good, the selection is somewhat limited. But it is an experience that you'll remember. The castle is amazing.

I hope I've given you enough information to make a decision that works for your family. Have an absolutely magical vacation, Peggy!
