Hi Jessica,
I love first trips to Walt Disney World! There is so much excitement for planning a fun trip! We just returned from a trip with our extended family during the Christmas break. My youngest nephew was visiting for the first time. He loved it and he is 15. What made it special was he, along with his two brothers and my two daughters, were part of the planning. So if the children know, get them in on the planning.
Again, I would ask the young lady to help. Is she a foodie? The
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is during this time period and there are so many delicious treats to try. How about picking a restaurant or two for dinner? Does she love Halloween?
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my daughters favorite things to do and they are 17 and 19. Does she like to shop?
Disney Springs has some great shops to explore.
Would she like a tour? Each park has their own tours from learning about the backstage areas to taking a private safari to swimming with dolphins.
Also, I tend to find teenagers like to be younger than older. She may want a silly hat, trade pins, meet all the characters or be first in line at the parade.
Also, set expectations such as her staying with you or if she can have alone time. Can she arrive or stay later in the park?
Wishing you a magical day!
Beth
