This our first time to Disney and we have a meal at akershus booked for Sunday at 4:55pm. My 4 year old still naps until about 3pm. I'm sure she will definitely need a nap at Disney so when would you recommend an appt at bibbity bobbity? Or skip it?

Hi Stacey! I can tell you're planning a magical first Disney vacation for your little princess! She's going to love dining with the princesses at Akershus!

Walt Disney World can definitely be tiring for the little ones, so you're smart to be trying to keep her on her regular nap schedule. I don't, however, think you'll have time to make a trip to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique between your daughter's nap and your Akershus reservation. (Neither of the two Boutique locations are close to Akershus, so you'd need at least an hour to travel on Disney transportation from the Boutique to your dinner reservation, which doesn't leave you enough time to get your daughter to the Boutique and have a makeover.)

A Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeover is a really fun experience for little girls, but your daughter can certainly dine with the princesses without a trip to the Boutique beforehand. Just dress her up in her favorite princess dress and tiara, and she'll fit in just fine. If she really wants a makeover before her meal with the princesses, consider making a Boutique appointment for earlier that day, before naptime. The Fairy Godmothers-in-Training use a lot of gel on the hairstyles so they stay put for quite some time. In fact, my daughter usually sleeps overnight in her Boutique hairstyle and wears it again the next day. We usually just need to neaten it up a little the next morning, so I'm sure the style would survive a short nap. Your daughter would be the new Sleeping Beauty!

Have a magical meal with the princesses! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're always happy to help!
