We are first time Disney cruisers and SO EXCITED! Do people decorate the stateroom doors? If so, is it best to bring magnetic decorations or can we also use wall decals? Also, are there any other "insider" tips like this you can tell me? Than

    Ahoy Elizabeth!
It's an exciting time, and I hope you are enjoying every aspect of the cruise planning so far!  It is always fun to walk down the hallways onboard a Disney ship to see how creatively Guests have decorated their stateroom doors!  Disney Cruise Line only allows magnetic decorations so be sure to keep this in mind while you plan.  I have used the website Etsy for my family's decorations if you aren't interested in creating your own.
Guests can bring along two items per stateroom to leave at Guest Services to have signed by the characters onboard.  Photo mats, pillowcases, t-shirts, plates, ornaments, Vinylmations, and tote bags are just a few of the items Guests like to have signed as a special keepsake.  Be sure to place your items in a plastic bag labeled with your last name and stateroom number and include fabric markers or Sharpies.  Your free souvenirs will be delivered to your room by the last night of your cruise!
We also like to bring along an over the door shoe holder to be a catch all for sunscreen, lanyards, hairbrushes, small souvenirs and keepsakes and other items that sometimes clog up the desk/vanity area.  Highlighters of different colors are great to bring along so you can have each family member mark the activities and events they don't want to miss in the daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator.  One will be delivered to your stateroom each evening, but additional copies are available at Guest Services.  Carry it around with you wherever you go so you don't miss a thing!
My last tip is to be sure to order the Big Island Cookies from room service at least once!  We like them at bedtime with milk because they are the most moist delicious chocolate cookies in the world!
I'm about out of room, Elizabeth so please write back with any other questions you may have about your magical voyage!  I'm always happy to help!
