Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Marci! How exciting you are less than two weeks away from your trip!
I hope you will be glad to hear you're not alone in the picky eater universe, as my youngest is probably THE pickiest of all.
Of all places you could take a picky eater to dine at, the
Walt Disney World is THE best. You can see what is offered at every restaurant by going online and checking their menu ahead of time.
Even though my son is a picky eater, we still purchase a
dining plan every time we travel. He loves getting snacks at different locations, such as the Mickey Bar, popcorn of different flavors, etc. At a restaurant, if something doesn't entirely appeal to him, you may ask for a modification. For example, my son loves chicken nuggets but he doesn't like them paired up with mashed potatoes for a meal, so if they happen to come together, you can ask for those mashed potatoes to be replaced with fries or potato barrels. At burger locations, we always ask for all veggies to be removed and to not add mayonnaise or other sauce to it, as he can not stand them.
I recommend choosing
buffet-style locations such as 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park, Cape May Café at Disney's Beach Club Resort, among others. You will find a bigger variety and therefore you stand a better chance at finding something he may like. If you still struggle, you may request to speak to the chef directly and discuss further modifications with him/her.
Marci, I hope these tips are helpful and please come back with more questions!
