First time to disney with 2 adults and 2 children (7 &5). We have the basic dining plan. We have booked a character dinner, using 2 sit down credits each. Would upgrading to the deluxe dining plan be advisable. Arriving 5/7/11 leaving 5/12. Thank yo

Hi Julie! Great question! This might involve a wee bit of research. I've often been in that position, but when I do a bit of math, I usually opt to stay with the standard dining plan. I recommend checking out the AllEars website, where they list current menus and prices. If you have a less expensive dining reservation, it may be better to pay for it out of pocket and use that credit elsewhere. Once you have an idea of your costs, then call a Disney reservationist at (407) 939-7675 and ask the exact costs for your vacation for both the standard plan and the deluxe dining plan. This way you can decide what will best meet your family's needs.

Hope this helps Julie! Write back with any other questions as you plan your magical vacation!
