Ahoy, Shari! How wonderful that you're going on your first cruise - and on the incredible
Disney Cruise Line! All of
the ships are beautiful, with
loads of activities. Don't be surprised if you start planning your second cruise before you disembark the first.
This is a great question because it's so helpful when packing if you have an idea of
what you might want to wear for theme nights or special evenings. The big themed night on your sailing is
Pirate Night. You'll find some of your shipmates look just like they tendered over to your ship from the Black Pearl, while others may don a pirate t-shirt or just a bandana. You can't be overdressed or underdressed in your interpretation of pirate attire, just don't miss the swashbuckling good time on deck that evening.
Your
Very Merrytime cruise will also have a formal night, and it's a perfect evening to put on your holiday best and get some
photos taken at the backdrops located in the atrium. Quite a few people will put on holiday dresses and suits and capture a memory of the gang all dressed to the nines. You'll also likely see people in matching holiday t-shirts or ugly sweaters going to some of the main dining room meals, and if you're looking for a unique holiday card photo op, Castaway Cay will have its halls decked for Christmas. Just saying.
Side note - your stateroom door is magnetic, and you'll find many doors spreading holiday cheer with magnets. I find it's a great way to spot my cabin door after a long day.
Have the best first cruise ever, Shari!
