This is our first time on a cruise; how do you request a dining time? We did the booking with a travel agent and she did not ask what we preferred to do it at that time. Thanks.

    Ahoy, Karen!

When your travel agent booked your cruise, you were assigned a dining time. If you go into your reservation on the Disney Cruise Line website, and click on "Reservation Summary", it will show if your dining time is first or second seating.

When we went on our first cruise, I thought we would definitely want the first seating for dinner, especially with younger children (ours were 6 & 9). While we enjoyed the first dinner seating, I found that I felt rushed, especially on port days, to get showered and changed for dinner. On our third cruise, I decided to try out the second seating, and I have not gone back (cruise #13 is next month!).

If you are unhappy with your current assigned dining time, you can always try to request a change once you are onboard the ship on your very first day. Simply ask at Guest Services where you need to go to change.

I hope you have a wonderful Disney Cruise Line vacation!  Be sure to try new things in the main dining rooms, they will bring you anything you wish to order!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
