I have to first say, I love this panel & I read it everyday. Arriving in Sept. & I know it will be a rainy time. I have a 3 yr. old DD.. can you advise if the ponchos sold at Disney will accommodate her? She is a bit tall at 38 inches. Thank you!

There are two sizes of ponchos sold at WDW - "child" and "adult." I was stuck in a rainstorm at WDW about two weeks ago and ended up purchasing ponchos for myself and my two eight-year-old daughters. The child-sized ponchos were just right on my girls, and would probably work well on most children aged about 4 to about 10. If you daughter is particularly tall, then they may be fine for her as well.

However, I do have a little tip if you find that the child-sized poncho is too large for your daughter -- just trim it down. Nearly every store at WDW has a pair of sturdy scissors by the cash register. On one trip a WDW poncho was dragging a bit on one of my daughters. We just borrowed the scissors at a store, trimmed off the bottom two inches of the poncho (this took about a minute to do), returned the scissors and we were on our way again.

There are also umbrellas sold in many of the WDW gift shops. Also, you won't see either the umbrellas or the ponchos until it starts to rain, and then they put them out on the counter. If you want either and don't see them, just ask.

    Hope this helps.
