Hi there, Matt. Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for taking the time to drop by with your question for us. First and foremost, THANK YOU for your dedication and service!
Disneyland Resort rarely has discounts specific for first responders. However, they do have an upcoming offer for California-based firefighters and Los Angeles-based law enforcement personnel or emergency medical technicians who helped combat the Southern California wildfires in January. Eligible first responders will receive a pair of complimentary one day Park Hopper
Heroes Tickets. These special tickets will be valid from May 5 to August 7, 2025, Mondays through Thursdays. Information, including eligibility and verification, will be communicated directly by Disneyland Resort to qualifying police, sheriff’s, and fire departments in April.
Since you’re searching for first responder discounts for a specific date for your friend’s proposal (how fun!!!), I recommend checking with your work’s human resource department. My daughter is an EMT (soon to be a paramedic) and I’m a nurse practitioner at a large academic hospital. We both have found some decent vacation package deals through our work for theme parks, especially to Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Additionally, on the ID.me website, there are often first responder, nurse, military or teacher discounts for
Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort tickets. While I personally have not purchased Disneyland Resort tickets through ID.me website, I’ve had colleagues who have saved a good amount of money going this route. (Of note, I have made purchases on other items and received significant discounts from ID.me to assure you of the website's legitimacy). When signing up on the ID.me website, you’ll just need to submit some information to verify that you are a first responder to qualify for discounts.
If you have more trip-planning questions, please feel free to stop by
planDisney again.
See ya real soon,
Kiki
