Hi there, Katy!
Welcome back to planDisney! We’re so excited to assist you with your upcoming Disney vacation plans.
Using Disney’s complimentary transportation system can seem a bit complicated at first, but don’t worry—I’m here to help you navigate your way from park to park!
The Monorail from
Epcot to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), where you park for Magic Kingdom, usually runs for about an hour after the theme parks close. While the Monorail is a convenient option, I’d actually recommend driving from Magic Kingdom to Epcot if you’re planning to hop between parks.
Once you’ve paid for
parking at
Magic Kingdom, hold onto your parking receipt. When you arrive at Epcot, simply show your receipt to the Cast Member at the parking entrance, and you won’t need to pay for parking again. Parking prices typically range from $30–$55 depending on the size of your vehicle, so this is a great way to maximize your budget.
Driving your vehicle between parks can save time, especially at the end of the day when Monorail and bus lines tend to get long. It also gives you more control over your schedule, making it easier to leave the park when your family is ready to wind down.
If you choose to drive, be sure to note where you park at each location. Disney’s parking lots are huge. Take a picture of the section and row number so you can easily find your car at the end of your magical day.
Let us know if you have any more questions or need tips on making the most of your park-hopping experience.
Toodles,
Korliss
