Welcome back, Amanda! It's my favorite mom who is going to surprise her kiddos with not only a Walt Disney World vacation, but just when they think they're headed home, spring on them that they're off to set sail with Captain Mickey too! So glad to see you back with another question!
Sailing the high seas with Disney Cruise Line is always magical, but there's even more magic in store when you cruise over a holiday like Halloween! You'll have just had such fun in the parks that are all decorated for Halloween, and then you'll be boarding the Dream which will be in the spirit of Halloween too, with lots of spooky touches.
One of my favorite offerings onboard the
Dream's Halloween sailings is Mickey's Mouse-querade Party. Definitely pack costumes for the kids (or purchase new ones onboard), so they can have fun at this fun party in the atrium where even the Disney characters will be dressed in their Halloween attire! Trick-or-treating will be such fun that night! If your kids like The Nightmare Before Christmas, you won't want to miss the Sing and Scream sing-along party which is an interactive movie experience. You'll all get to meet Jack Skellington and Sally after the show! In addition to all that fun, there will be spooky storytelling sessions on deck, a haunted movie marathon and adult-only Halloween costume parties too (so pack a costume for Mom and Dad as well)!
Have fun as you continue to plan this awesome surprise, Amanda! I wish I could be there to see the looks on your kids' faces when you tell them! Happy planning!
