Seasons greetings, Kristy, and welcome to planDisney!
I bet you can’t wait to get started on your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth during
the most magical time of year in just a matter of DAYS. Hooray! I recommend perusing the park-by-park guide for experiencing the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort so you can make a list of your must-do experiences. If you scroll down on the welcome screen in your
My Disney Experience mobile app, you will see a section titled “Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort.” When you click on it, you can view all of the festive fun each park has to offer. I also recommend checking out the Disney Eats Foodie Guides for Holiday Delights at both the
parks and
resorts to map out all of your must-try treats.
Kristy, you are more than welcome to
use an old MagicBand on your upcoming vacation, as long as it’s still in working condition. Depending on its age, there’s a chance the battery might have died. I say go ahead and link the MagicBand to your
My Disney Experience account so you have it ready to go. Then, when you arrive at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, the Cast Members at the
Front Desk can check to see if it’s still working. If you aren’t staying at a Disney Resort hotel, the Cast Members at the park entrances can check it for you.
To link your MagicBand, click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of your My Disney Experience mobile app and select “Link to Account” from the menu options. From there, you’ll be able to type in the MagicBand ID number or scan it using the camera on your smart device.
I hope this information helps, Kristy. Enjoy every magical moment of your vacation, and we’ll see ya real soon!
