Hi there, Sade’! Thank you so much for sending your questions to planDisney. We’re honored to help you get ready for your very first visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
I’m so glad to hear you’ll be staying at a
Disney Resort hotel. As we like to say, there’s nothing like being inside the “Disney Bubble,” where complimentary transportation, early theme park entry, and all those extra Disney perks make everything feel a little more magical.
When it comes to late check-out, Disney Resort hotels don’t offer it as a paid option. It’s a complimentary request that’s based on availability, so it can never be guaranteed. You’re welcome to ask at the front desk or call from your room, but it’s best to expect a “no” and be pleasantly surprised with a “yes.” Standard check-out time is 11:00 AM, but if late check-out isn’t available, Bell Services can store your luggage for free so you can continue enjoying the resort (I like to hang out at the pool and use the showers there) until it’s time to go.
The
Disney Dining Plan, gives you lots of flexibility. You can order any entrée from the regular menu at participating restaurants. Your meal includes an entrée, a dessert at table-service locations, and a beverage. Guests 21 and older may choose an alcoholic beverage if they prefer. Just let your server know you’re using the dining plan, and they’ll help guide you through what’s included. There's also a Quick-Service Dining Plan if you prefer more casual dining.
As for your park days, if you have a
Disney Vacation Package with date-based tickets, you won’t need theme park reservations at all, and you can visit which ever park you like each day, as long as it hasn’t reached capacity. If you ever need to adjust the dates of your entire vacation package, you can modify online through your My Disney Experience account under “My Plans” by selecting “Change Reservation.” You can also
call Disney for help. Just keep in mind that changes depend on availability, and fees may apply if you’re within 30 days of your arrival.
I'd also like to share a couple extra first timer tips! Make sure to download the
My Disney Experience app before your trip. It will show wait times, let you place mobile food orders, and show your dining reservations. And don’t forget... because you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you’ll get
early theme park entry, so arriving early is always a great plan for lower crowds.
I hope this helps, Sade’! Wishing you the most magical first visit ever.
See ya real soon,
Eean
