Going on my first EVER CRUISE in April 2021. My husband, mom and I are going on the Disney Fantasy. It’s our very first time aboard any cruise for all of us. No kids. Any thing we need to know about being a first time sailor? Especially with no kids?

    Welcome aboard planDisney, Iris!

Shiver me timbers!  I am so excited to hear you will be earning your sea legs and sailing with Captain Mickey next year.  Batten down the hatches, as you are about to be blown away with all the treasure to be discovered on your adults-only voyage!

My husband and I enjoyed some time together without our kids on the Disney Fantasy a few years ago.  The kids weren't happy, but we sure were!  No matter if it is your first cruise or cruise number one hundred, you want to be prepared for when your advance booking window opens to make reservations for your onboard activities and Port Adventures.

Since this is the first time you landlubbers are heading out to sea, I would recommend making one of your first reservations for a spa treatment at Senses Spa and Salon.  We loved the Couple's Choice treatment, as my husband and I could relax together in a spa villa!  Make a romantic day out of it by finishing off the evening with dinner at one of the adult-exclusive restaurants, Palo or Remy.  Even when the kids sail with us, I always make time for dinner at Palo to enjoy their chocolate soufflé!

Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy the other adult-exclusive areas onboard as well.  From nightclubs and lounges, to the Quiet Cove Pool, there is something for every mood.  One of my favorite places on the Disney Fantasy, away from the small sailors, is Satellite Falls.  I love to grab a drink and hang out here while the ship sails away from port!

Before you raise the Jolly Roger and turn your sails toward your adventure, be sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to find times and locations of onboard activities, keep in touch with your husband and mom during your cruise and view all of your plans.  I would also recommend packing a lanyard with a card carrier, as it is an easy way to keep track of your Key the World Card during your sailing.

Iris, I hope you cruise back to visit us at planDisney if you have more questions as you sail toward your high seas adventure next year!

    "Sea" ya real soon!  Angie
