On the first evening we arrive, we'd like to eat dinner at one of the restaurants in one of the resort hotels. We have two four year olds. Are there any recommendations?

The best resort restaurants tend to be in the monorail resorts close to the Magic Kingdom, this is ideal for your first evening as they're very easy to get to using the free transport. A character meal would be a good choice for your four year olds, the most popular is Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. This is a fun buffet and the characters that can be seen here tend to be Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Minnie. Another great character buffet is held at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, here you'll meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella. My family loves 1900 as the characters are hilarious, also little girls have the chance to dance with Cinderella!

A good non-character meal is 'Ohana at the Polynesian. The food here is served family style and includes delicious skewered meat, noodles, stir fry vegetables and bread pudding, a childs meal is also available. Menus for all the restaurants I've mentioned can be viewed at www.allears.net

Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance either online or by calling 407-939-3463. These restaurants are popular so I strongly advise you call as soon as possible to secure a reservation.

I hope you have a fantastic trip,

    Jo
