Hi, this will be our first Disney vacation and I want to get it right! I have a 4 year old and a very very busy 2 year old. Where should we stay with young children? What is the best pool at Disney for young kids? Meal plan or not?

Hi Kathleen!   I am so happy you have come to visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love to help plan magical vacations, especially first time visits to Walt Disney World.   Like yourself I have two very busy young preschoolers. We visit the Disney Parks several times a year, and we have such amazing vacations each time. I hope I can offer you some tips to make your stay one you will never forget.

My favorite Disney Resort hotel to stay at with my children is Disney's Art of Animation Resort.   You will feel like you have become a character in your favorite Disney and Disney Pixar animated films from the moment you check in.  I love that my children can actually touch all their Radiator Springs favorites, and  see all of Ariel's whozits and whatzits galore that she has collected on her undersea journeys. You can find standard resort rooms that sleep up to four guests, and family suites that will sleep up to six.  Disney's Art of Animation Resort is home to The Big Blue Pool, the largest pool at a Disney Resort Hotel. This splashtastic pool is zero entry, which makes it very easy for your little Nemos to enter and it is full of lots of fun water features.

My family almost always takes advantage of Disney's Dining Plan.  It is a great way to save about 15% off the cost of food while you are at  Walt Disney World.  I would also recommend at least one character dining experience for your family, it is a great way to ensure some unbelievable interaction between your little ones and their beloved Disney favorites.

I would love to continue to help you out Kathleen, if you have any other questions about planning your first Walt Disney World Vacation,  please let me know.
