We are going on our first Disney cruise in two weeks, going on the Disney Dream. About the Aquaduck, what kind of footwear is recommended, if any? I'm considering water shoes.

    Ahoy, Ashlinn!

Can you believe the time has come to embark on your magical journey aboard the Disney Dream? This ship has so much to experience from the AquaDuck, the coolest water coaster at sea to the interactive game the Midship Detective Agency! You'll love everything a Disney Cruise has to offer your crew!

As the days fly by, you're smart to start packing now as it will make the days leading up to your cruise next week a little less hectic. I've never worn shoes on the AquaDuck, but I've seen others wear the closed toe water shoes. It's my understanding that anything that could come off like flip-flops or sandals is not permitted for safety reasons. If you don't want to wear shoes, there are cubbies at the bottom of the stairs that lead up to the slide. It can get hot on the pool deck so I typically wear my shoes to this point and leave them there since it is not a far walk from the end of the slide.
Get ready for the time of your life on your Disney Cruise vacation next week, Ashlinn! I hope it will be the first of "minnie" magical voyages with Captain Mickey! If you have any other last minute questions, please write back!

    Have a "Dream"y time!
