We're going on our first Disney cruise this summer. If we book a port adventure in Nassau - such as the Dolphin Deep Water Swim and Atlantis Adventure - will we have any time to shop in Nassau? Is it one or the other?

Welcome aboard, Lisa! Atlantis is an amazing resort and you'll see it from the moment your Disney ship pulls into the port. You're in for such fun on your adventure there.

If you have a couple of different departure times for your Port Adventure, choose the earliest one available. Then, you'll be off to enjoy the day at Atlantis, swimming with the dolphins and having some wet and wild fun at Aquaventure. There are different options for returning back to the port. Return transportation from Atlantis to the port run every 30 minutes from about 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you think you'd like to shop a bit in the straw market or other areas near the port in Nassau, plan to take an earlier return bus so you can head out to shop once you get back to the port. However, you may very well find that after swimming with the dolphins and getting to Aquaventure, you want to stay and make the most of your time there. In that case, take the latest return bus back. That will not leave you time to do much shopping out away from the immediate port area. But there are some little shops inside a shopping area connected to the port of Nassau which offer Nassau souvenirs and such, so you can browse for a few minutes on your way back to the ship.

I hope those details help as you continue planning, Lisa! Let me know if you have other questions before you set sail!
