    We are going on our first Disney cruise in Oct using DVC points. Just wondering if it would be possible to upgrade our room on the day of embarkation to avoid $95 charge? Do you think upgrade price would be lower than if I tried to upgrade before trip?

    It is great to hear from you again!  Since you have reserved your trip with DVC points, I asked my fellow Moms Panelist Andrea, the DVC Specialist, to help me with your question.  She recommends giving Member Services a call at (800) 800-9800 to speak with a Castmember about upgrading on the day you embark the ship.  The Castmember will be happy to advise you about your points, categories, transaction fees, and paying with points.  I do know that if the ship is full, there will not be any upgrades available at the port so it is a chance you might risk if you wait.
