Hi Going on my first Disney cruise on Oct 5th everyone is telling me to fly in the day before coming from Chicago leaving port in Texas. I have transportation from Disney to the port included when my fight arrives the day of cruise! What should I do

    Ahoy Joetta!
Many Guests fly in the day of the cruise and don't have any transportation issues so you will most likely be fine keeping your flight as is.  Since you are cruising at the beginning of October, I wouldn't think you would encounter any weather issues.  You can always contact your air carrier to see how much it would cost to change flights, but I would not change if the fees are hefty because you will also need to pay for a hotel room the night you arrive.  Disney has partnered with the Houston Airport Marriott at George Bush International and Hotel Galvez in Galveston so you can arrange your Disney transportation to one of these hotels from the airport and to the port the next day if you decide to come in a day early.
I hope I was some help, Joetta!  If I can assist you further, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
