Ahoy, Claudia!
How exciting that you are planning your very first Disney Cruise Line vacation and you navigated your way here to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am sure you have found so many answers to questions that you didn't even know you had.
A 3-Night cruise is a great way to introduce your family to a vacation on the high seas. It is definitely NOT long enough to do everything that there is offered on the ship, which is ok. That just means that while you are onboard, you should plan to visit the Future Cruise Sales desk to book your next adventure on the ocean!
As far as "can't miss" activities for your children, here is what I would recommend. First of all, plan to stop by the
Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab as soon as you possibly can. And then plan to not see too much of your 6 and 9 year olds once they have experienced these areas! Secondly, be sure to schedule some time for your littlest cruiser in the "It's A Small World" nursery so that the adults can have a little time, too. Maybe you will want to check out the
Senses Spa & Salon or just lay in the sun at the Quiet Cove pool. It's everyone's vacation, so each person should get a little time to do what they want.
If you have little princesses, be sure to head to Guest Services to inquire about a "Princess Party". This is held in the atrium, and is an opportunity for children to meet many of their favorite Disney Princesses all at once. We have seen as many as five Princesses at this event. Also, the Disney Dream is getting a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique beginning in October, so you might want to get your princess all "made up".
Relax, enjoy your first cruise, and start planning the next, I'm sure you will be hooked.
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
