Hi! We are going on our first Disney cruise in November (Disney Wonder out of Galveston). I'm trying to figure out what the best excursions in Nassau would be for my family (myself, husband and 6 and 4 year old girls). Thanks in advance!

    Welcome Aboard, Maryam!

Planning your first Disney Cruise Line vacation is so exciting! I have been to Nassau on quite a few of my DCL cruises. When my girls were younger, I might have chosen the See and Sea Island Tour Port Adventure. This sightseeing adventure includes touring by both boat and bus. The boat is partially submerged, giving you an underwater view while staying nice and dry. Our family rode in one of these boats when we were in St. Thomas, and my daughters both really enjoyed the experience.

If money is no object, you might consider heading to the Blue Lagoon Island Sea Lion Encounter. I have heard great reviews about this one, especially for younger kids. From the description, your girls would even get a "kiss" from their new pinniped friends!

Our family usually treats Nassau like another day at sea. We use the time to enjoy a partially empty ship, sunning in a deck chair and possibly finding some Disney trivia to participate in. There is plenty to do onboard. I have also taken advantage of the Vista Spa & Salon on a day in Nassau, there is usually a daily special treatment.

I hope you have a WONDERful first cruise aboard the Disney Wonder. Please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions that come afloat before you set sail!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
