Welcome aboard, Tara! My family and I love making our cruise vacations with Disney into a true land and sea vacation by adding a few days to the trip at the Walt Disney World Resorts before we sail. I hope you'll get to do the same!
Check out the
Land and Sea page of Disney Cruise Line's website for details on booking a package. While I don't know of any specific discounts to do both, you will save money versus taking a cruise and a parks trip separately. And Disney makes your transition from land to sea and back again super easy with their optional
ground transfers between the resorts at Walt Disney World and Port Canaveral. We enjoy spending a few days exploring and playing at the Disney Parks and then being whisked away to sea for our cruise with Captain Mickey to relax after tiring ourselves out at the parks. We get a note in our resort room the night before our cruise letting us know what time our motorcoach will be by to get us the next day, and when our luggage should be ready. They send our luggage ahead to the ship in the morning and we just keep a day bag to continue enjoying the resort in the morning until it's time to make our way to the ship. It really couldn't be easier, Tara!
The agents at Disney Cruise Line are happy to book both your cruise and your resort stay and park tickets for you, so give them a call at (800) 951-3532 when you're ready to book! Have so much fun planning, and feel free to pop back by the Moms Panel with any other questions as you get ready for your trip. We're happy to help!
