Welcome aboard, Jennifer! Congratulations on your very first Disney Cruise Line vacation! I remember the first time my family and I set sail with Captain Mickey.. It was so magical from start to finish, but even now when we sail, there are always new experiences to enjoy and new magic in store. You're going to have an amazing vacation!
It's a great idea to begin checking out the Port Adventure options before your online check-in begins. Since you're a first time cruiser with Disney, you'll begin online check-in 75 days prior to sailing. Be sure to log in that day to book any "must-do" adventures, since some do book up quickly, and guests who have sailed with Disney before get earlier access to booking, 90 or more days in advance.
My family and I have really enjoyed our
adventures in Nassau, especially at the Atlantis Resort. Prices for the various Port Adventures are listed in their individual descriptions so you can view those now. You'll be able to read about each adventure in detail, but the only thing you won't know until you start online check-in is the exact meeting time onboard to leave for the adventure. Most Port Adventures will meet on the ship and then the whole group walks off together with the guide for the transportation to the adventure itself. So, I suggest choosing your favorite two Nassau adventures, and that way when you begin check-in, you can choose one of those with the time that suits you best from the remaining availabilities.
You'll also get to visit my favorite spot:
Castaway Cay, Disney's private island paradise! There are lots of Port Adventures offered there too, but even without a Port Adventure, Disney offers so much already included on the island, so you can be as busy or as relaxed as you'd like all day!
Have such fun, Jennifer!
