First Diney vacation May 31. Read many recommendations about spending an evening at the Boardwalk. We are staying at the Polynesian and will have a car. What is easiest way to get to the Boardwalk? Thanks for the great tips!

I love strolling along the Boardwalk in the evening. Last summer my daughters and I spent several lovely hours eating ice cream and watching the street performers.

If you have a car, by far the easiest way to get from the Polynesian to the Boardwalk is by driving. The transportation desk at the Poly can give you a map and driving directions. When you get to the Boardwalk hotel, just tell the attendant at the gate that you want to enjoy some shopping or dining on the Boardwalk. He or she will direct you to the appropriate parking area.

If you didn't have a car and wanted to get to the Boardwalk from the Poly, you would take a bus from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Disney's Hollywood Studios, from there you could either walk or take a boat to the Boardwalk. This multi-step process almost always takes longer than driving yourself.

Have a wonderful time at WDW!
