Hiya, Tom! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy, I'm so excited to hear that you're making plans to visit
Walt Disney World Resort! With so much to see and do, you're sure to have an extra special trip. Like you, I can't wait to step foot into the magic and I often plan to visit the parks on my arrival day. I'd love to help you with your plans!
Tom,
theme park reservations made with the Disney Park Pass system are required in order to visit the parks during your trip. That means that, even if you arrive only in the evening, you'll still need a theme park reservation for that day. The only slight differences would be for Annual Passholders or Guests who have tickets that include the
Park Hopper Option. With a ticket that includes the Park Hopper Option, a theme park reservation is required for the first park of the day, but
not required for the second park that you "hop" to after 2 PM. However, Guests would still need to tap into the first park that they've made a theme park reservation for before hopping, no matter what time of day it is. If you have more questions about this, please write back again – I'm happy to help!
Before you arrive, I'd also suggest taking a little time to download and explore the
My Disney Experience app. This feels a little like holding a magic wand in your hand, allowing you to unlock everything that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. You'll be able to view park maps, check wait times for attractions, access
virtual queues, and even
mobile order food! This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun.
Sending you all the faith, trust, and pixie dust for an extra magical trip!
Michelle
