Welcome aboard, Melissa! My family and I loved our Disney cruise to the Mexican Riviera a few years ago and cannot wait to set sail on that itinerary again this fall!
Ensenada is a wonderful town to explore, whether you take one of Disney Cruise Line's exciting Port Adventures, or simply walk of the ship to do a bit of exploring around the port area on your own. Head over the bridge on the left to go to the Malecon. This waterfront walkway is a great way to spend the day. Follow the path along the water and take in the views, to farther along the walk where you'll encounter all sorts of fun restaurants and shops, both touristy and some great local spots with great fish tacos! Yum!
Cabo is a favorite spot of mine because my husband proposed to me there many years ago. We've been back with Disney Cruise Line since then, bringing our kids along and loved seeing how the town has changed, but how some areas are very much the same, and found some of our favorite shopping and dining areas right there in town. The only drawback to this port is that you'll be anchoring out in the bay and having to take tender boats to the dock, which adds extra travel time to and from the port. But, if you're not on a specific time frame (besides making it back for All Aboard time, of course!), you can wander the town area near the port and enjoy some fun shopping and dining. I'm actually looking forward to taking the Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure to explore
San Jose Del Cabo, the quieter side of Cabo, for the first time when we visit this fall. But, if you stay close to the port instead, head over to The Office, for an authentic and fun Mexican meal. Tables are right on the sand with spectacular view of the bay and El Arco. We love that spot!
Have a great cruise, Melissa!
