This is our first cruise and I wasn't paying too much attention to online check in. So, our port arrival time is now 3-:30. If we arrive much earlier, what do we do? Are there things to do at the port? Will they allow us to board earlier?

    Ahoy, Mary!

Can you believe it's almost time for your magical vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line to begin? Even though I've been fortunate to cruise many times since my first cruise, I still get the same excited feelings when I arrive at the cruise terminal. There are always those moments on a Disney Cruise that happen unexpectedly that you can't prepare for that make every sailing special and unique! I hope this cruise will be filled with magical moments and be the first of "minnie" for you and your crew!

I'm glad you sent in this question because I definitely recommend arriving at the port earlier than you scheduled time. Disney Cruise Line began using port arrival times a few years ago to help space out when Guests arrive so the wait in the cruise terminal isn't too long and the area isn't too crowded. Boarding is organized by groups according to your port arrival time and typically begins around 11:30 to 11:45 a.m. I suggest arriving at the port about an hour or so after this time to give the initial groups time to board. You shouldn't have to wait too long before you can board. Lunch is usually offered until mid-afternoon so eat a late breakfast or bring a snack while you wait so you can enjoy your first lunch onboard. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the terminal, and the youth programming for ages 3-12 does have a place to register and pick up Oceaneer bands. You may even see one of your favorite Disney pals around!

I hope I've steered you in the right direction, Mary! If you have any other last minute questions, please let us know!

    Have a WONDERful time!
