Our first cruise. What time can we expect to get to MCO without having to race around and rush to get off the ship? Trying to schedule a return flight, and don't want to end our cruise by getting all stressed about catching our flight home. Thx

Welcome aboard, Andrew! Setting sail with Disney Cruise Line is always magical, but there is something so special about the first time you set foot on one of Disney's pixie-dusted ships, that makes your first cruise one to remember!

Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers for guests from Port Canaveral going to the Orlando International Airport (MCO) after your sailing (as well as from the airport to the port and from the resorts to and from the port). This is by far the easiest way to end your cruise vacation, Andrew. Letting Disney take care of all of the details makes for a smooth transition from sea back to land. Call the agents at Disney Cruise Line at 800-951-3532 too add this to your reservation. The cost is $35 per person each way, but it is worth every penny to not end your vacation stressed about getting home!

Guests are encouraged to book their flights after 11:30 if they want to use the Disney ground transfers. This will ensure plenty of time to disembark the ship after breakfast, collect your luggage, go through customs, board the motor coach and take the hour long drive to the airport. If you see a flight back to your home airport around noon or after, that will be the perfect flight for your family. However, even if it's a little bit later, there are so many fun stores in the Orlando airport, you could kill some time browsing in those before you head to your departure gate. My family usually takes a 1:20 flight home and we have plenty of time to relax as we disembark the ship and extra time to shop at the airport, grab lunch, and a leisurely time making it to our gate.

I hope that helps as you get ready to book your flights, Andrew! Happy planning!
