Hi again, Christine! Castaway Cay's Private Cabanas are very popular, and tend to be one of the first things to book up when online check-in for guests begins. But, don't worry! You can enjoy an amazing day at Castaway Cay without a cabana. In fact, my family and I choose not to book a private cabana because we enjoy spending our day exploring the island, participating in the fun activities, booking a
Port Adventure, and simply relaxing on the beach.
Both sections of the Family Beach and the whole part of the adult beach, Serenity Bay, have plenty of beach chairs, loungers, umbrellas, and hammocks for guests to use, no reservations needed. There are plenty of shady spots and sunny spots, so take your pick. The picture I've included above shows Family Beach on Castaway Cay, so you can see there are lots of colorful umbrellas for the guests. My family and I have fair skin, so it's important to us to have shade available, and we've never had a problem finding the perfect spot on the beach under an umbrella. You'll be all set!
There is so much included on
Castaway Cay! You'll receive beach towels to use for the day as you walk off the ship onto the island. Lunch is included at one of three spots: Cookies BBQ, Cookies Too BBQ or the Serenity Bay BBQ on the adult exclusive side of the island. My kids adore the soft serve ice cream stations that are complimentary as well. And I haven't even mentioned the fun activities that are included: crab races, a family whale dig, character dance parties, the Scuttle's Cove Youth Club, waterslides at Pelican Plunge, oversized board games at In Da' Shade games, and so much more!
There is so much to explore and enjoy during your day at Castaway Cay, Christine! You're in for so many magical memories! Have a wonderful cruise!
