We are going on our first cruise ever next week to the Bahamas on the Disney Magic! Yay! I see that you can bring on 2 bottles wine or 6 cans of beer per adult. Do you know if apple ale would be considered "beer?"

    Ahoy, Deborah!

Your first cruise aboard Disney Cruise Line is just a few days away! Are your warm weather clothes packed? Do you have your important paperwork all in order? Are you ready for a vacation of a lifetime? I know you can't wait to cast off to the Bahamas real soon! The Disney Magic was the first ship my crew sailed on over 10 years ago, and we were hooked from the very beginning. I hope this sailing will be the first of "minnie" magical voyages for your family.

It sounds like you have done your research on the current alcohol policy for Disney Cruise Line. You are correct that each Guest 21 or over can bring two bottles of wine and/or champagne and six cans of beer on the ship as long as it is packed in their carry-on luggage and unopened. I did check with Disney Cruise Line about apple ale, and the representative advised me that this may not be allowed since it does not fall into the "beer" category. The cruise line will store any alcohol that falls into the prohibited category until the completion of the sailing.

Deborah, best wishes on a wonderful vacation aboard the Disney Magic next week! Give Captain Mickey a big hug for me and enjoy every magical moment.

    Bon Voyage!
