Welcome aboard, Yvette! The Mexican Riviera is a beautiful location to experience while at sea and in the ports of call. My family and I loved this itinerary and really enjoyed our adventures in Cabo San Lucas. My husband and I had visited Cabo years before we had kids, so it was great to be able to take them back there, and aboard the Disney Wonder at that!
In October, the average temperatures for Cabo San Lucas are lows in the mid-60's and highs in the upper 80's and into the low 90's! It will be summer-like for sure, so pack accordingly! San Diego averages highs in the mid 70's around that time of year. So, while it will be warm, do be sure to pack a light jacket or sweater for cooler and breezy nights on deck while at sea. I also get a bit chilly in the restaurants and theatres onboard when we sail, so I keep a sweater with me throughout the ship just in case.
I'm glad you know about the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, because you will want to have that downloaded to your mobile devices before you arrive at the port so you're all set to use it onboard. There is no charge to use the app onboard with the DCL-GUEST WiFi network. Directions will prompt you to log in when you open the app onboard that first day. If you'd like to use the DCL-GUEST WiFi network for anything other than the Navigator App, you'll need to purchase an internet data package. One little tip for you: On the first day, Disney usually offers a free 50 MB data package for guests to use throughout the cruise, but they must sign up for it on day one to be eligible. Find the information about signing up for it on the back of the paper Personal Navigator schedule you'll receive when you arrive at the port check-in. That's usually more than enough data for me to check my email a couple of times and post a picture or two for friends back home!
I hope those details help as you get ready for your cruise, Yvette!
