Ahoy, Eric!
I'm so glad you navigated your way to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your question. I have great news for you! The answer is YES, you can absolutely enjoy a cocktail in your stateroom, and there are multiple ways that this can happen. (And, there is nothing horrible about it!)
First of all, the Disney Cruise Line
alcohol policy allows you to bring up to two bottles of wine or champagne or six beers PER person over 21. Should you enjoy indulging in wine, you can do this in your stateroom or out on your verandah. Your stateroom host/hostess can bring wine glasses for you, just don't forget your corkscrew! If you choose to bring your own beverages onboard, please note that they will need to be in your carry-on bags.
Another way to enjoy a cocktail is to send one member of your party to one of the lounges onboard. Depending on where your stateroom is located, choose the one closest. They can order two beverages and bring them back to the stateroom.
When you are getting your children ready for bed, I would recommend that you order the "All Hands on Deck" cheese platter through
room service. This is a perfect compliment to your adult beverages and room service is included in your cruise cost. I almost always order warm chocolate chip cookies or a Mickey Premium ice cream bar (or both), too! YUM!
I hope this helps you with planning for your cruise. Please visit us again with any more questions that arise before you set sail.
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
