It is our first cruise on the Disney Dream May 15, 2017 with my niece and great-niece. We are arriving on departure day. I was wondering, I have bad knees, is there a place to sit in the terminal waiting area until your boarding number is called?

Welcome aboard, Judith! It sounds like you are taking a girls trip on the Disney Dream next spring! What a fabulous way to sneak away, just the girls, to relax and enjoy some adventures at sea! You're in for lots of magic!

When you arrive at the Disney Cruise Line terminal at Port Canaveral, you'll leave your checked luggage with the porters, then proceed through the security check with your day bags, head up the escalator and check in at the desks in the port terminal lobby upstairs. Once you're checked in, you'll receive a boarding number. As you wait for your boarding number to be called to board the ship, have a seat and relax! There are plenty of seats in the terminal lobby, some with a view of the Dream right outside the window. Mickey or Minnie may stop by to pose for photos with guests in front of the model ship in the lobby too. Some of the seating areas have televisions with classic Disney cartoons playing. And your niece and great niece may want to wait in the line to pick up her Oceaneer Club band for the Oceaneer Club and Lab. But, if that line is super long, let them know they don't have to wait in it! They can skip it altogether and simply finish her registration to get the band when you stop by the clubs during Open House later that day onboard.

Then, before you know it, they'll be calling your boarding number and it will be time to board the Dream! You'll get to stop for an embarkation family photo as you proceed up the gangway, then you'll walk into the atrium lobby of the ship as the Cast Members announce your family name and applaud your arrival! It is certainly a magical way to begin your vacation, Judith! Have fun planning!
