Welcome aboard, Vanessa!
Sailing with
Disney Cruise Line is my family's favorite way to vacation. I see you're from Texas. I wonder if that means you might be considering one of Disney's sailings out of the
port of Galveston. That would be pretty convenient! Living in Ohio, we have to travel no matter which of Disney's cruise ports we choose, so I'm excited for you to live closer to one of their home ports.
Disney Cruise Line does not offer pet accommodations on the ships or nearby the ports to house your pets while you're sailing.
Pluto is the exception, obviously, since he's Captain Mickey's beloved pet! Of course,
service animals are allowed onboard Disney's ships, which you can read more about on their website. But, it sounds like you're asking more generally, for a family pet. I wish I could bring my chocolate labrador on our Disney Cruise Line vacations. He'd have a ball at the beaches, I know! But, he stays in boarding back home while we head off on vacation. We do bring him some special treats and dog toys as a souvenir though!
If you're sailing out of
Port Canaveral, Florida, and enjoying a pre-cruise stay at one of the
Walt Disney World Resorts, you might be able to make arrangements for your animals to stay at
Best Friends Pet Care while you're at sea. Many families visiting
Walt Disney World check their pets into boarding at this spot while they're enjoying their Disney Parks vacation.
I hope that helps as you begin to plan your cruise, Vanessa! Stop back again if we can help with any other questions before you set sail!
