Ahoy, Shanna!
Congratulations on your inaugural voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line! I know you must be SO excited to experience the magic of Disney at sea! Every cruise I take with Captain Mickey is special, so I hope this is the first of "minnie" with your crew!
I'm glad you sent in this stroller question because I do have a few tips to share with you. First, Disney Cruise Line will let you check your larger stroller at the curb. Just use one of your luggage tags to tag it so it will end up outside your stateroom door later on in the afternoon on embarkation day. Since Disney makes
cruising with little one so easy, they do have a supply of large strollers on hand at Guest Services that you can use onboard or when you head ashore. The last time I sailed they were Peg Perego with the three, large wheels. They are first-come, first served and free to use with a refundable deposit. If you think you might want to use one, I suggest heading to Guest Services on Deck 3 the first afternoon to pick one up. Staterooms are typically ready at 1:30 p.m. so you can drop it by your cabin any time after that. We brought along an umbrella stroller to have for travel and at the terminal on our first cruise, but ended up storing it under our bed and using the one from the ship to navigate the hallways, decks and when we went ashore.
Whatever you decide to do, I highly suggest leaving your personal stroller on the ship if your cruise stops at Castaway Cay. There are free strollers and wagons available to use at both the Scuttle's Cove and Pelican Point Tram Stops. I was there this past week and saw plenty of strollers and wagons every time I walked by. We loved having this option because it kept our stroller from getting all sandy and wet! No deposit is needed; just pick one up when you go by!
Thank you for cruising by, Shanna! Have a magical day!
