Ahoy, Ann!
An amazing
Alaskan adventure awaits! Before you know it, you'll be cruising through some of the most beautiful scenery you've ever seen! I was glued to the railing on my Alaskan cruise because I did not want to miss the opportunity to catch a glimpse of any wildlife that might be visible from the ship. I was lucky enough to spot whales, dolphins, eagles and seals from the
Disney Wonder. It was so different than anything I had ever experienced on my Bahamian and Caribbean voyages with Disney Cruise Line.
As your cruise approaches, you will have to plan for a few more items in your suitcase for this particular vacation. The weather can be unpredictable and what you experience in one port may be totally different in the next. Layering and an outer layer that is waterproof are the keys to being comfortable during the day time. But during the evenings, I think you'll find many Guests dress the same as on a Caribbean seven-night cruise. There are five cruise casual nights scheduled along with one semi-formal and one formal night. Instead of bringing sleeveless dresses and shirts, I wore some 3/4 sleeve dresses and shirts with colored denim or pants. I packed closed toed shoes and cardigans and light jackets as well. The dresses I wore for the formal and semi-formal nights are ones I would wear on any seven-night cruise.
I hope my answer is helpful as you
