First Alaska cruise/First time in Vancouver: Are there any hotels in Vancouver that do a shuttle to the port? Considering we'd be flying to Vancouver, I was just trying to get an estimate from airport to hotel/hotel to port. Cruise tips? 2 adults, no kids.

Welcome aboard, Amanda! Cruising with Disney Cruise Line is always magical, but there really is something extra special about sailing to Alaska with Captain Mickey!

Disney Cruise Line partners with resorts in their various home ports to allow Disney Cruise Line guests to stay in wonderful accommodations before and after their cruise vacations, and they also offer transfers between these hotels, the airports, and the port.

In Vancouver, Disney partners with the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel and the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel. Shuttles are $25 each way from either the airport or hotel and you can get more details as well as add these reservations to your existing cruise reservation by calling the agents at Disney Cruise Line at 800-951-3532. No matter which port we've sailed from, it's been easiest to let Disney take care of the details when it comes to transfers.

You asked about cruise tips for adults. My favorite tip is to point adults to my favorite restaurant onboard the Wonder: Palo. This Northern Italian inspired restaurant is such a wonderful experience from the food to the service and the atmosphere. My husband and I never miss an opportunity to dine at Palo, no matter which of Disney's ships we're on. There is an additional cost of $25 per person at this restaurant, but you'll surely find out that it is worth every single penny. You can book your Palo reservations when you log on to begin your online check-in, 75 days prior to sailing for first time guests, 90 or more days prior for previous Disney Cruise Line guests.

And onboard, check out the beverage tasting seminars that are offered for a small fee. We've enjoyed beer, margarita, wine, and even beverage and chocolate pairings. Ask about these at Guest Services.

    Have fun planning, Amanda!
