This will be my first 'adult' trip (turn 21 a month before trip!). I'm not a fan of alcoholic beverages *not like I should know, anyway* but what are a few must have drinks? I saw on travel channel an orange slushie at EPCOT, but what are your favorite?

Hi, Ellen!  You're likely to think I'm a terrible lush for knowing so much about the cocktails at Walt Disney World, but I usually only enjoy a drink while I'm on vacation.  Maybe that's one reason I go to Walt Disney World so often?

My all time favorite drink is the Pina Colava - a raspberry flavored twist on the traditional.  It's available at several locations, including Leaping Horse Libations on the Boardwalk and the Hollywood Brown Derby.

Jiko has an after dinner drink called the Chocolate Covered Cherry that is absolutely delicious!  It's served in a chocolate rimmed martini glass, and gets its cherry flavor from cherry brandy.  Yummy!

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, check out "Dad's Liquor Cabinet" at the Tune In Lounge at 50s Prime Time Cafe, where you can enjoy Uncle Tim's Melon Margarita.

If you like fruit and rum, the Backscratcher at 'Ohana or the lounge at the Polynesian fits that bill perfectly.  Another great cocktail here is the Lapu Lapu!

Some drinks are offered for only a limited time, so feel free to ask your server about any specials they might have when you go.  You won't find any alcohol at the Magic Kingdom, but you can more than make up for it at EPCOT, where you'll find wine and beer from around the world, as well as specialty drinks like the Gran Marnier slushie at the France Pavilion.

Enjoy the view of Walt Disney World from age 21, but please remember to drink responsibly (okay, I'm a Mom, you knew I had to throw that in there!)!

    Have a wonderful vacation!
