To see the firework show at any of the parks but specifically Magic Kingdom do I need a special events ticket? Or are fireworks included with my general ticket? My trip is in December.

Ho-Ho-Ho Mikayla and Welcome to planDisney!

You have picked the absolute best time of the year to visit Walt Disney World Resort! While Disney World is magical all the time, there is something special about visiting the theme parks and Disney Resorts during the month of December. With the twinkling lights, gorgeous poinsettias, and trees, it is a winter wonderland. Plus all the special holiday shows, events, food, and fireworks - your Christmas spirit will be launched into overdrive!

Great news! Weather permitting, there are fireworks at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT every evening. While you would need a valid theme park admission ticket and a theme park reservation to be in the park for the show, you do not need to purchase a special event ticket to enjoy the nightly show. Each evening, Cinderella Castle and Main Street U.S.A. is center stage for the nighttime spectacular, Disney Enchantment. If you are heading over to EPCOT, the nighttime show there is Harmonious and is also included with your standard theme park admission. This magnificent show, featuring lasers, fountains, screens and fireworks takes place on World Showcase Lagoon. Times for both shows may change throughout the year so be sure to check your My Disney Experience account mobile app for the times during your visit. Also, Guests do begin to grab their spots for the shows well in advance of the start time. Therefore, if you have your eye on the perfect spot, grab a snack and wander over early. You can sit and relax, enjoy the music and sights until the show begins.

There is one additional fireworks show that takes place at Magic Kingdom and would require a special event ticket. Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks is part of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This party, and festive fireworks show is offered on select evenings from early November until just before Christmas. Party-goers not only get to enjoy the fireworks show but tons of other entertainment including a parade (complete with dancing reindeer, Santa and snow), stage shows, character interactions and holiday treats that are only offered during the party. It is a fantastic time and well worth the additional cost. There are only a select number of tickets for each party and they do sell out, so I would suggest grabbing yours today if you would like to join the fun.

I hope this helps with your planning. If I can answer any additional questions, please stop back and see me

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
